Re: For me... the NFC Championship win over SF was HUGE...

My feeling on this has been how many regular season wins v SF would you have traded for the NFC Championship win on the way to a super bowl championship? Me: ALL OF THEM.

I'll be in SF for the Monday Night game, decked out in SB gear and while I don't expect to walk over the 49ers, there is something psychologically uplifting of having beaten them when it counted the most and why I think the pendulum has swung in the other direction.

Debatably the greatest victory, not counting SB wins, in Ram's history... for me, actually, it WAS the greatest game in Ram's history. BUT... and it's one big BUT...

As far as the current rivalry it did little, IMHO, to overcome the dominance SF AND JG had and may very well STILL have over the Rams... at least as far as success against SF in the coming season. We escaped that game by the skin of our teeth... can't see reason one for the Rams OR us to think we now have SF's number.

As far as the win being a triumph of epic proportions YOU BET...that's what made it so great!!!! But it's still one game.... one game still embedded in far too many losses. It's a new season... ain't going to win thinking we have laurels to rest and depend on... gotta kick ass. - JamesJM
