Athlete, shmathlete.
We don’t need just an athlete at QB, we need a QB at QB!
Is Stafford a great athlete? I rest my case.
Isn't having an "athletic" QB a "good thing"?
If I have 2 backup QB's that are close in talent level fighting for a spot, (and WE do) I take the one with more potential and is the better athlete every time.
Why? If a backup has to play, he most likely will be under a lot of pressure from either the Defenses blitzing or being "slower" to make his reads, so, I want a guy who is athletic enough to make some plays on his own when things break down by either scrambling to get extra time to throw or scrambling to run for yards.
No, we don't "NEED" an athlete at backup QB but it sure doesn't hurt to have one that is.
Yes, we "need a QB at QB". But right now, neither of our backup QB's are very good "QB's" only. That's why they are "backups" so whoever is #2 better be able to produce by doing some "Non-QB" things too. The edge in that department goes to Perkins IMO.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
