Bubba did write that he thinks the rams will keep 10 o linemen on the 53.
so a starting 5 plus the 5 guys he named as his likely backups.
his backup list did not include shelton or bruss and he did not say who the starters are in his mind.

so is he assuming bruss is a lock to start or shelton and the other out?

my 2 cents:

rams don't typically keep 10 o linemen on the 53. so i expect only 9 to stick. if kolone and brewer are still eligable for the practice squad, that's where they're headed.

noteboom, edwards, allen, hav to start and probably shelton at the beginning of the season just to keep bruss pressing for a starting role. which will probably come early in the regular season.

that's 6.

once bruss takes over the starting guard role shelton becomes the backup at center and right guard.

the next 3 backups are jackson at LT, acuri at RT and anchrum as a swing guy, main role being backup left guard.

loosing big whit to retirement made me nervous but i think the o line has the personnel and plan to keep us in the upper echelon of the nfl. may not be our strongest corps but plenty good.
