It sounds like Jefferson will be fine and ready to go but perhaps miss a game or two. On the bright side this gives more reps to Tutu, Skow & Harris & may speed their development.
They don't seem to be too worried about Stafford's arm and are taking steps to manage it so he is ready for the season. Spending some of the precious cap space on a backup QB might come down to a choice between that and having space to sign OJB.
