This is a rare situation where I 100% support it. Heck, shut Stafford down fully for 3 days once (or twice?) between now and the season opener if they want. Stafford will be ready to go mentally and dialing back his reps, adding off days, etc. is fully warranted this next 5 weeks.
This is a by-product, without question, of playing 21 games last year and one of the many reasons it's hard to repeat as champions.
But the Rams have a stellar training staff and doctors and will handle this intelligently and logically. Zero doubts there.
I'm glad you're confident, last year his deep balls kept coming up short as the season progressed. I'm somewhat concerned over this.
I was at the Jags game last year and I was fortunate to sit in an owners suite (Shad Khan, his son, and Trent Baalke were right next to me). Long story on how I got to be there. Anyways, I was talking to Hollywood types in the suite who acted like they were knowledgeable about what was going on behind the scenes with the team. They told me Stafford was being treated for multiple injuries, if I recall correctly they said elbow and shoulder. They said he was pretty beat up at that point in the season.
Funny thing about this story is when I shared it on message boards I got laughed at. Typical deniers stuff.
