Some players just tug at your heartstrings...

For me this guy is one of them... and I don't really know why. I know nothing about him personally... good guy? Bad guy? I have no idea... but on the field I think he's had a tough row to hoe.

Overshadowed by legendary names I think Van would have easily been a #2 for most other NFL teams... with being #1 not out of the question. Not for the Rams, of course, but I believe for several other teams.
