How many angels can dance on the head of a pin?

Talking Rams and salary cap space is almost pointless. They know, as we all know, that the cap will go up significantly over the next couple of years and so structure deals based on future dollars.

The Rams find ways to fit players under the cap that they really want to keep unless that player makes a contract demand that is beyond what they deem "worth it" (Von Miller). And they strategically let certain players at certain positions walk and then get a comp pick to begin a replacement process.

The Rams so very differently in philosophy than most teams. In some ways it's a high-wire balancing act, but so far they seem to be defeating gravity.
