Bobby Wagner is back in Los Angeles after signing with the Rams, returning to the city where he grew up. And now that he’s at home again, he’s already giving back to the community.

Wagner and the Rams announced Wednesday that the linebacker has established the Phenia Mae Fund in honor of his late mother, who passed away from stroke complications while Wagner was in college. This fund will support those who have suffered a stroke and also promote stroke education.

It’ll benefit two medical centers in Los Angeles: Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center and Kaiser Permanente in San Bernadino. Both hospitals helped treat his mother.

Below is the message shared by Wagner about establishing the fund.

Wagner joined the Rams this offseason after being released by the Seahawks. He spent the first 10 years of his career as a member of the Seahawks after being a second-round pick in 2012.
