No one knows how much OBJ will have to give when he recovers.

We haven't signed him ... but no one else has, either. No one will give him a big number until he proves his health. And that won't happen until mid-season at best. Why sign him earlier?

And the thing is, we may very well not need him. We already have a lot of weapons.

If it is me, I wait till mid-season to see whether we need him ... or someone else at another position. About the time OBJ roves his health we'll know if we need him.

Will someone else sign him? I tend to doubt it. But if they do ...
