McVay tends to get better vs his opponents as he sees them in a given year. Extra looks seems to help him overcome them. Last year he slayed the dragon with SF with the third game he got to see them. The first one we got blown out. Second was to the wire. Third game sent them home for the offseason. Two years ago it was the Seahawks, and the Rams beat them in the playoffs with a wounded and jilted QB in Goff.
So even if we lose to Buffalo a good way to look at it is it allows McVay to adjust because he's really good at that. And if we then see them in the Super Bowl I like our chances more after seeing them week one then if we hadn't drawn them at all.
