I know it's been working so far, but also we got guys who "fit the system", guys who came in with a certain mindset of their own and it meshed with ours. IMO to keep doing this is asking for a blown tire to make all the wheels come loose. Does Bradberry offer up what Miller did? Has he won a ring with a goal to win another? At what point do you keep front loading guys in front of our home grown guys. At what point is it necessary to actually see what we have within our own team?
It's nice to think that it worked last year, why not go on forever.....IMO that doesn't happen....WE have a nice starting point right now with a new WR a solid SB winner at ILB......add to that a natural learning upside to the 2nd year with Matthew and Morris.
I am not saying stay static until the season starts, but guys like Clowney, I don't think we need to get that type player....rather go with what we have in our pocket to be honest. I just don't want to get to used to this bring them all in for a championship...it happened once, glad it did, but I would not rely on it, too easy to backfire....if it does what does that do to overall morale?
We brought back Hill, let's see what our young guys have to offer up to establish themselves....it's not like we are totally barren in the DB area....At edge we may not have a guy like Miller, but Clowney isn't a Miller either....IMO the AD factor can bring up some surprise from within our young guys.....Also IMO the run game is returning somewhat as a major factor, things go in cycles....we get better against the run could very well more than offset a lower grade at that opposite edge point....we may well get that rush point from other various places....ILB...S.....CB.....with Morris going to a new phase of what was going on towards the end of last year.
