curious who you would say the best rams head coach ever is GP?
obviously i'm a George Allen fan. I also enjoyed the Chuck Knox years. but my heart was broken by both of their reigns as they could never get to a superbowl. don't know if it was because they didn't have enough of a supporting cast in the fo or it came down to just them ( too young at the time ) but they had the players. i think Vermeil left too soon, puking us out into the dark ages of rams head coaches.
but i do think it has to be the right combination of players, coaches and fo - one strength alone isn't enough.....
full disclosure, i agree with Den. I'll take a 5 year stretch like we just had ( which i think is not over yet ) after a stretch of misery over a long stretch of coming close and never getting to the superbowl. i do hope we can figure out how to extend Sean for a while along with Les.
