Trading 1sts and 2nds for NFL stars, and then building a team around them with middle and late picks is clearly a strategy that can work. It falls apart if those trades don't perform as expected, and if you can't pick well and develop the lower round picks.
So, yes, there is more than one way to the Superbowl. But, anyway you pick has to be done superbly. Better than anyone else.
