When a player decides he wants to be elsewhere, it's usually better to trade him especially if a strong offer comes in from a non-division opponent. Otherwise, the rancor never ends and money rarely entirely fixes the problem. It was like Adams wanting out of GB. It was smart to trade him because then they had some control over the situation.

I thought the trade request was a bargaining chip. But it seems it might not be. He's serious.
