How do they stir interest in your team when all the games are played away except for one team?

It's possible that the cities included in the team names are just that... a name and no more. But if the teams are supposed to have an affiliation with the city associated with their team name, not sure how that's supposed to happen when the team has no home base in that city, doesn't train there, and won't be playing any games there. If that's the case, why not just be the Generals, Breakers, Stallions, Stars, Bandits, Maulers, Gamblers, and Panthers and leave the city name off?
