A crazy long article, but Irv Pankey's actions moved me to tears.

A hero indeed.

I met him in 1985 at the team hotel in SF before the big MNF game and he was helping the gift shop clerk with her trigonometry homework.

No joke.

Plus he owned LT for the most part.

But what he did in this story makes everything else pale in comparison.
