the cuase him to play 4 good games in a row.
Said that all year, they Rams would be a playoff team
and that they would need 4 good games in a row
in playoffs (no bad games with "bad" interceptions)
and he did that.
McVay didn't go as pass happy as normal
and Kupp was amazing.
The pass rush was there and top notch
and though the run game was not super
McVay, to his championship credit, stuck with it
even if it was not blowing people away.
McVay did the playoff formula:
1-Good QBing that does not kill you (like Stafford did in his slump but does not
need to be as good as he did during the 7-1 star)
2-solid run game
3-great pass rush in waves.
Couln'd care less what other said, I knew what Stafford was
and upgrade to Goff, and Goff was 1 game away from a title himself
and that with this team Stafford could win it if he didn't
do his crazy pick-6 stuff . . . he had his slump and cost Rams a few games
but then came out of it and put together 4 winning playoff games like
he's capable of.
I think, now, that Stafford knows he does not have to be here, that the
crazy pick-6s might not happen, he won't feel the need to be the run-around
save-the-day guy . . .he can be more like a calm, QB like we saw in playoffs
Maybe he will be that the rest of his career and not revert to hero ball.
I think that could truly happen. That he's taken a step forward.
