On the one hand it’s POSSIBLE that Rams are already okay at Edge and outside CB. It’s just that both positions seem thin and unproven as yet for a team planning on a return to SB victory.
Otoh, available ‘name’ vets for both areas seem flawed and probably overpriced. Not a good combo.
Yeah, it’s POSSIBLE that Rams could hit a couple of gems in the draft at both positions, but is it wise to take such a gamble in a SB run? Then again, signing flawed/overpriced vets is not ideal, either.
Do you suppose that Snead has his eye on a couple of unheralded vets that would be affordable? Or hoping for certain cuts by other teams down the road? And would they be good enough to take snaps away from Lewis and Rochell?
Maybe all of the above?
Might be some high stakes poker going on right now personnel-wise at those 2 positions.
