Being patient with him paid off. I ate a lot of crow with his play and gladly. He wasn't a guy I trusted to get back to that guy he was briefly a few years back but he really has seemed to make a change and it made a huge difference. The big guy deserves a ton of cred for working himself into that guy we saw too.
I would let him play his contract out though. Because a guy like him, if he continues that level of play, will likely be allowed to leave in FA in order to collect that third round pick. I'm not gonna tie big money up in him personally if I'm making that call.
