It makes all the sense in the world for both the Rams and OBJ. However, money talks.
That said, who is going to sign a guy who is in the early stages of rehab on his 2nd ACL in the same knee?
I suspect the Rams are going on that premise and playing a little hardball with OBJ on the contract. They should. But, the Rams are known for being very reasonable, so whatever it winds up, it'll be fair and OBJ wouldn't have been able to do better anywhere else.
With the "liars" contracts today, they Rams can structure it to appear OBJ is getting lots of money so he can have his ego stroked. But in reality it will be a modest deal.
