Matthew Stafford was exceptional on third down in first year with Sean McVayStaff was pretty damn good on third down during his first season as the Los Angeles Rams' starting quarterback.
Matthew did have 2 noteworthy major blemishes on his resume last season.
1. He led all QB's in interceptions returned for touchdowns.
2. He tied for the lead league in total interceptions. His get out of jail free card that covered up his 2 major flaws, was the way he played in the second half of games.
Staff was the (#1) ranked NFL QB in in the second half of games last season.
His second half stats are well known by us Rams fans, but the impact of his second half statistics get slid under the rug by many of the NFL pundits and fans of other teams.
