There was a previous arrogance in the NFL that you couldn't "buy" a championship. The Eagles attempt at a dream team just justified that belief. The Rams showed that you could, however, import important complimentary components.
Ultimately I feel this can only be done for a short while before salary cap must be considered. Case in point our team who is shuffling just to break even and losing starters along the way. The other element is that eventually somebody has to draft and develop the players. It will be interesting to see how this plays out over the next few seasons.
