in generalities with other peoples opinions/ideas...you lump them together....people say that they want a new guy that comes around that the old guy is not good enough......I don't agree....SOME people may think that way, not all. It's a fact ...Hekker is not the same guy he was, no where close.....You can say he was good enough, but you can also say he put us in some holes as the season progressed, he made things harder in games with his play.....he came on at the end, but at the same time he made things harder during the season as well.....even in the end he was no where close to his abilities of the past.....
The so called "new guy" was coming off a good season, I'm not a bills fan, don't read up on them....To me this is a game of enjoyment, I enjoy watching my. I see players from other teams not nearly as clearly as the team I watch all the time. I look at Bojo as a guy with a strong leg, to me that's a positive for a punter.
Charts, all the data......to me the game is enjoyment...not something I should be reading up on for a test....You like that, many others do as well, that's great, but I don't see the need to bash others for not going down that road. I watch the game with my eyes, that's where I get my feel for things....I don't see why someone who does it different with pages of data, and charts etc.....feels the need to show superiority over people like me....
There are IMO certain things that a guy has that can't be taught...a QB with a strong arm, a WR with big speed, a RB who can view a field, a kicker with a strong leg....IMO most everything else within a guys game can be taught, if he has the right staff behind him and his mind right to take the teaching.
I didn't want Bojo because he was a "new guy" to replace the "old guy"....that is so simplistic it seems to me you are trying again to make others feel dumb......we had another guy on this board who talked to people the same way.....are you him under a new name?
if not you sure seem to be his relative.....LOL.........
Dude, I have no idea what you're upset about. Let it go. If you think Bojo was the better option fine. I don;t think you're dumb, I don't know you.
I will add that everyone watches the game with their eyes. That's the problem, people see different things because it's their brain that interprets what they see. Some people's brains have more experience judging things. Stats and charts simply reflect what happened on the field. When people two people see different things or rather, their BRAINS interpret things differently the charts and data back things up.
And in this case Bojo had long gross average, but he also set his team up for bigger returns and his NET was lower than Hekker... that is what happened and the data proves it... that is why I showed it. And Bojo killed his team in the playoffs.
So, I don;t get why this is even a thing. Both things can be true. Hekker is not punting for a 44 yard net average like he used to, it was 42 yards . . . so he's not what he was, but he was a better option than Bojo. Now? He's too expensive and hopefully we can find someone with a better leg AND does the little things that it takes-hanf time, ball placement, fakes, good holder . . . can kick in a pinch . . .
