Very few pitchers at any level throw perfect games. A perfect game is getting 27 straight outs. No walks, hits, hit batters, no errors, no runners! It is very hard to do. A no-hitter is way easier, but still tough. And you can pitch a no-hitter and lose the game. Shutouts are difficult but you can't lose if you throw one.
