Hopkins, the TE, was one of the targets labeled as a bust. What did he do? 4 important catches for 57 yards in the Superbowl that had the announcers wondering where this guy has been all year.
Give Atwell time. I have no idea if he'll pan out or not. But to give a rookie a half-season and then kick him into the dumpster is not warranted.
Every rookie can't instantly turn into Cooper Kupp.
