As much as I liked Jay G, he wasn't adept at the little things that Matthew Stafford does when the offense is under heavy fire. Things like moving defenders out of position and placing the ball in the only spot that can be placed without potential catastrophe is what Goff needs to become better at.

When Stafford has a bad series or even a string of bad games, he still remains composed, and his demeanor even seems to galvanize amidst such adversity.

JG and Stafford are 2 totally different QBs. The only area they have any similarity is that neither is a threat running. Stafford is better than JG in just about everything. The only downside to Stafford is that he has ultimate confidence in his arm talent and will force more balls in situations that JG never would even consider. Thats not to say JG doesnt throw his share of bad INTs, they are just different. Otherwise, Stafford is head and shoulders better than JG.

Simply put, Stafford is arguably a top 5 QB, and Goff is not even close to a top 10 QB.
