Player Bio
Jackson originally committed to Arizona out of Bishop Alemany High School in Mission Hills, California, but he ultimately decided to follow in the footsteps of NFL receivers Rashard Higgins and Michael Gallup, who both attended CSU. Jackson contributed as a reserve in 13 games his freshman season (15-265-17.7, two TDs) and started three of 10 games played the following year (32-405-12.7, four TDs). Jackson earned first-team All-Mountain West honors in 2019, ranking fourth in the FBS with 111.9 receiving yards per game (77-1,119-14.5) while scoring eight times. He missed two games with a knee injury in 2018 and also missed action with a shoulder injury as a junior. Jackson opted out of the 2020 season. -- by Chad Reuter

Overview
Tall target with long arms and proportional frame who could struggle on the next level due to inconsistencies in his game. He's a lackluster route runner who lacks the burst or top-end speed to create separation. He's a smooth pass catcher with sudden hands who can win 50/50 throws with his length, but doesn't do nearly enough with his frame to keep smaller cornerbacks from making aggressive challenges for the catch. Jackson's lack of explosiveness means he must make route running and physicality much higher priorities since contested catches will follow him.

Strengths
Extremely long with wingspan to intimidate shorter cornerbacks.
Active with hands to fight through press.
Size forced downfield penalties from panicked defenders.
Won't drop many uncontested throws.
Shows good awareness with footwork near the sideline.
Able to reach way up high to pull in errant throws.
Late hands to stab throws on top of him or nab the ball off back-shoulder.
Focus to track and secure throws down the deep sideline.

Weaknesses
Slow getting off the snap and building momentum in his patterns.
Rarely sold his routes, making him easier to read and cover.
Failed to use leverage to get tight man off of him.
Lethargic footwork getting in and out of his brakes.
Movements tend to be too gradual at times.
Unable to run away from coverage deep.
Allows smaller quarterbacks to crowd and heist his catch space.
Not enough grit in finishing blocks in the running game.
