It is not so much that I disagree with the consensus here that Tutu is a bust-bust, but the optimist in me thinks that the kid deserves a better shot. He looked good in the preseason games and I thought he would spell Desean and learn from the prototypical speedster his first year. Well, no he got injured and Desean deleft. With Woods hurt and OBJ demanding attention to support Kupp who knows what Tutu could've done. Maybe he catches the ball SKOW let be intercepted. Maybe he becomes an All Pro returner. There's two things you can't teach size and speed. Tutu can pack on a few more pounds but he has crazy speed. Actually so does Harris. If he was healthy I think he takes Skow's place on offense. He has size and speed. I will say that if/when we resign OBJ and if everyone else comes back healthy we will have an amazing WR stable. Kupp, the best in NFL, Woods, a one on any other team. Jefferson, who is like a #2 who plays 3 or 4 who should only get better. OBJ, when he comes back he becomes our 2 and is normally a one. And then you have Powell, SKOW, Tutu and Harris. That's 8. I know there were some other PS guys that people like too. A lot depends in attitude. Kupp works his butt off and made himself into an All World performer. Will Tutu come in, fired up, and out in the extra work to become stronger and master the playbook? Will he stay after practice to work with Kupp? Will he do whatever's necessary to gain the confidence on Stafford? We don't know. So far, you are all right. Getting injured while falling on a football doesn't look good for a high contact position like WR. But, when he emerges like our center and plays at a high level? It won't surprise me.
