I think it's because many fans wanted to draft Creed Humphrey. They were hoping he would slide and identified Center as a need, where as Tutu, was a disappointment in so many ways, it's easy for everyone to be upset over the pick. His size IMO, has everyone up and arms, but again, the Rams received an excellent season by both Allen & Shelton and granted Allen is an UFA & Shelton a RFA, whereas the Rams would control Humphrey for a while, but many mocked Humphrey to the the Rams, thus why so many are upset over the Humphrey non selection.
