Rampage2K-
so this has bugged me the last few days and once again I heard it again on NFL Network
Apparently, the idiots in the media heard Stafford on Mic'd Up when he was telling a teammate after the game ended "I didn't even know it was 4th down" when talking about Donald's last play to end the game.
And then later was telling that to Kupp and Kupp also said he didn't realize it either.... Remember Matt said he went to the bench after the TD to Kupp and said it was better luck when he wasn't watching the defense, so he kept doing it on the final drive....so it's not shocking he didn't know that was 4th down.
So later the idiots in the media hear some other idiot get it twisted and say that "Stafford and Kupp didn't even know it was 4th down and the Rams 4th and 1 play on the Kupp jet sweep"
Sadly, I heard someone on here repeat that falsehood too: confused
Then last night again they were interviewing Whitworth on Total Access and made a joke about it again......drives me nuts how dumb they are as they try to poke fun at Stafford and Kupp for being that dumb.....and was hoping Whitworth would have embarrassed them by correcting them, but he just laughed it off and let them keep thinking that.
I get your post and thoughts Rp2K.
For myself, I don't get as irritated anymore by the (dumb media) with their hot takes.
After the Rams 3-game losing streak, the team finished their SB season going 10-1 over their last 11 games.
Finishing the season 10-1 over the last 11 games is not a fluke regardless of how many ignorant NFL media gurus tried to excuse it leading up to SB LVI.
There were so many NFL media narratives set in stone regarding our Rams as being the #4 seed heading into the playoffs.
I won't pretend I didn't listen to most of them.
Shock jock observations by the NFL media talking heads are sadly here to stay.
They know what sells TV viewers and tickets and it won't change in the coming years.
I know you already know this.
