I teach HS Math and coached HS football and track for 23+ years.

When I started in 1987, I was only 5 years older than the Seniors in my classes! Hilarious, right? Now, I'm 42 years older.

I tell them stories about no cell phones, I had to go find a pay phone at a gas station. I tell them "I was my dad's remote control for the TV. He told me to change it to channel 7, I got up and turned the TV to channel 7."

Pencil sharpener? Why? They use mechanical pencils now.

When I coached football, I took roll. I would walk around and ask them their favorite teams, ect. My last few years, they did not have favorite teams, they had favorite players they liked because of "Fantasy Football."

I'm like Whit, they are all speaking a different language than I do now. Computers and cell phones have really changed the world. I thank God everyday that I was born and raised in the 60's-70's cuz' it was much better back then IMHO.
