Van needs to work on his hands, and ball tracking skills. He is not good at either. He catches with his body way to often and when not needed, his inability to adjust to the ball in the air surprised me, I thought he was better at that than he showed.
A few of those deep ball ints could have been negated had he just adjusted and battled for the ball. Even an incomplete there would be better than just watching as the corner undercuts for the pick. The SB endzone pic bothered me, he just kept running himself out of real estate. He needed to stop his route and go up for the catch. He did neither, to say I was disappointed is an understatement.
I'm on the same boat about van he just doesn't do anything extra to me. He is going to be facing the third to 4th best DBS all the time and he doesn't seem to shine. He doesn't look the part compared to our other incredible receivers in kupp, woods, and obj. I would rather see a freak like Harris start taking some of his reps to see what he could bring instead.
