He is undoubtedly a gunslinger first off so I agree he is who he is. But that doesn't mean he can't play with fewer mistakes which he did accomplish in the playoffs and it's why we won a title.
Year two they should improve running the ball. That was a problem for our OL and I expect with three positions changing over potentially that the Rams will be better up front.
But it also seems to me like the regular season in 2021 was about him testing his limits and the limits of his weapons. And by the time the playoffs came around he had a good command of those weapons and played really well within the scheme. Odell was a real saving grace btw. But to 9's credit for that to work you need the QB and the WR executing.
That Super Bowl was really impressive by Stafford. To win that game vs a very strong Bengals defense that had stymied some good offenses down the stretch without Higs and Odell was something. I hope there is a focus to ensure he has the type of weapons he prefers, i.e. guys he can throw to in contested situations. The wheel he hit Odell on for a TD in the first quarter... Most of the options on the roster don't make that catch. It was a dime for sure, but Odell makes those look easy so I hope he returns.
