That Morris WILL be a HC the following year and Fangio who is taking the year off will become the next DC in LA and this is one move to help in that alignment. It will not hurt in keeping Von around either. But I really feel like it's an opportunity to add a coach who was valued in Fangio's system at the time he is available.
Good hire as well for the Rams, this guy is a good coach.
I was dogging Raheem earlier in the year, but as the season progressed, I saw improvements in the way he created and called the defensive gameplans, and it continued throughout the playoffs. Raheem is a very good coach and will be rewarded with a HC gig after next season I am almost positive of that. Of course, a lot depends on what the D looks like next season but if he stays the course, they should be a top 5 unit once again and that will be enough to move him back to a HC position.
