The Hall of Fame is (mostly) for players who were the best at their position for multiple seasons. Boselli fit that description. Does Big Whit? Did Slater make it?

Yes Jackie slater is in the hall of Fame.
Whitworth is absolute lock he was one of the best at his position and did it longer than most without a significant dropoff.
