nothing sinister at all, nor planned as some type of strategy.
I can easily see how winning a SB in the latter stages of playing the game, (Donald), one could easily, even if only briefly, think about retiring.. going out in a blaze of glory IOW.
Maybe McVay is simply feeling the effects of the stress his been under for years now, having to prove himself and only that by winning. During those brief moments when that stress is relieved sure.... I'd entertain those thoughts, why not McVay?
