It's really the QB that is the major issue with the Saints. If they can somehow get a QB, they will be right back on top. If they can't, they won't.
If I was them, I'd have my eyes on Wilson and see what could be done there. I don't think they'll want Jimmy G; too much like Bridgewater. Mediocre player with a huge contract.
You need a REALLY good QB to go far in this league because the other pieces can be assembled around him IF the organization is a good one (the opposite of the Detroit Lions for the last almost 15 years).
I don't know that we can give enough props for the Rams jumping all over the Stafford deal immediately before anyone else could react. Those kinds of QBs simply don't become available but maybe once every several years. AND, for being able to assemble all those other pieces.
Whether Stafford helps to win this Superbowl or not, it was a brilliant trade.
