Kirwin, Bruce Murry et al., making back handed comments that the Rams path to the SB was paved by Kronkie's check book... "they went out and bought themselves a SB". Whereas the Bengals went the traditional way via the draft. Look, arguments can be made either way regarding the methodology to get to and winning a SB. Free agency changed the NFL landscape forever. The Ram's method is risky, requires draft capital, an owner that supports that methodology and a GM and Coach with the junk to do it. When the Rams went all in, it was SB or Bust... well, they made it to the SB and now they have to finish the job.
By the way, Bill Polian former Colts GM and SXM contributor begged to differ with these guys and said the Bengals have just about the same number of free agents and trades as the Rams... the Rams just have the higher profile players and associated higher cost to go with it.
More than one way to skin a cat (Bengal
), teams just have to decide how much risk they want to take.. The Rams are ALL IN !!!!
Our Rams.... It's a controlled Obsession!
