3030
If you're not getting pressure on the QB he's going to be able to stand in and hit longer passes.
So to combat that you want to CB's to play off so as to protect against getting burned deep.
But that just leaves them vulnerable to the underneath stuff which many of us found so frustrating.
True 3030! I get why Morris would do that but what was even more frustrating for me was the slowness or inability to adjust to everyone "taking advantage" of that strategy and were attacking the middle and underneath areas.
It seemed at times we wouldn't adjust to it the whole game allowing teams to march up and down the field with double digit drives and chewing up the clock while our vaunted O was on the sidelines watching it!
I still wonder how much McVay is responsible for the change. Seeing McVay's face while the other teams were marching up and down the field virtually "uncontested" said a lot IMO. I think McVay had seen enough and had a "talk" with Morris about what could be done differently. JMO
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
