Strange what's happening to me today... I'm discussing the game OFF the board as well as here, and this is twice now that I hit send in an email and the next post I read on this board hits precisely on the topic I just emailed.
You're speculation..."inside joke" with colleagues, is perfectly rational to me... and as I said, that never occurred to me.
Sunday I watched the SF game in my bedroom alone.. my entire family AND a few guests watched in the Living Room. This is routine, they know me. Sometime during the game, I forget when, I exited the bedroom... I think to get a drink, and walked into the living room to get to the kitchen.... IN UNISON, I think at least half my family, yelled out "Don't break routine, Papa, get back in the bedroom".
My point being... lets be honest, we're all a little superstitious when it comes to football. Maybe Kurt via your 'inside joke' speculation is exhibiting a bit of that same behavior? I don't think that's a wild ass theory at all. If I knew, and I mean KNEW... that some odd ritual would guarantee that the Rams would win this SB BUT would lead everyone on this board into ridiculing me, scoffing me, losing all respect for my football expertise (if anyone thinks I have any).... and part of the ritual was that I could never divulge what I did and just take the heat...I'd do it without thinking twice.
