I'm of the opinion that this continuous activity of cheap shots was condoned or even "sanctioned" or encouraged by the Niner coaching staff. It went on all game, and I sure didn't get the impression that the Niners coaches were trying to discourage it. I think that they knew the officials were gonna hold onto the flags and "let the players play" so they encouraged them to go out and get away with everything they could until it drew a flag. That's the impression I have about that whole game. I don't think I'm alone.
I saw it the same way, Gracie.
The refs really let the 49ers get away with some funky stuff.
Now that I think about it, this has not been a standout year for NFL officials in general.
The NFL "tries" to make people think they care about player safety with CONCUSSIONS being at the top of the list but they ignore a blatant blindsided helmet to helmet on a helpless player?
This is more than about the Officials. If this was being reported heavily by the media the NFL would have to do something whether it be fines and or suspensions.
That games was seen by BILLIONS of people and I am blown away by the lack of media coverage on this. Without the media behind it...it will go nowhere. Maybe a $14k fine to both Warner and Ward. lol Considering the are multi millionaires that fine would be about $5 to you and me!
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
