No better way to stop a pass rush, get that WR the ball going full speed around the corner and it takes care of all 4-5 DL, they are not involved in that play at all.
Better yet, it still is like PA so the misdirection freezes them in their spots, gives WR's time to get open and Stafford time to survey the field.
I think McVay is using those "ACES" this week, cuz' he has kept them in his pocket for for most of the season this year.
