In 1993, I went to the Rams-Lions game in Oct (we lost). I went to the last game of the season in 1999 against the Eagles (we lost). It was a meaningless game for the rams but first time I could see them. In 2017 I went to the home game against the eagles (we lost). I took one of my sons to the playoff game against Atlanta (we lost). My wife won an auction for two tickets for the last game of this season. I went with the same son to see the SF game (we lost). I was worried about attending and I also broke a different superstition by yelling go home niners when we went up by 17. You do not beat your chest until the game is over. So I helped out the rams by staying home for the playoff game against Arizona and will watch the NFC championship game from my living room.
The only rams win I have attended was the last game of the season against the Patriots in 1989. We needed to win to advance to the playoffs. The pats had first and goal with 9 seconds left. We were up by four so if we gave up a touchdown we would not go to the playoffs. Three incomplete passes and we made it. I would say about 40% rams fans in the stands. It was SOOOO cold that game. I was wearing two pairs of socks and my feet were still freezing.
As I have not attended a game we won since the 80s, I will do my part by avoiding going to the game.
Please note McVay is undefeated with the lead at halftime when I am not in the stands!
