Ramsey, Allen,Akers, Cooper. All had a chance to put this game away numerous times and made horrible plays, did not execute.
IMHO it was on of McVays best games.
Go RAms!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Absolutely.. McVay can't help fumbles.
But he can help seal the game despite the fumbles with better playcalling at the end.
He went conservative again in the 4th quarter... running up the middle where the strength of defense was.
On 3rd and 8 plays... he runs the ball instead of letting the franchise QB get the 1st.
Stafford was on fire. This wasn't deer in the headlights Stafford. He owns Bowles. He had the confidence and was seeing the field well.
Put the ball in his hands to win the game.
If this was shaky Stafford maybe not. But this constant formula of going conservative with the calls in the lead.. just like the Niners.... almost burnt the Rams again.
Not saying McVay is to blame for everything. If Rams lost the game.. for sure, the fumbles would be the focal point of why they lost and that is on the players. But that doesn't absolve McVay from being able to help facilitate winning the game with understanding the flow and the players' heads to make better play calls. Look at the end... Stafford was seeing everything. No reason to corral him in the 4th quarter.
