I was thinking that’s a probability due his offensive side of the ball.

It’s clear he either will never be up to par as a defensive coordinator or he has still a lot to learn. It’s time after the season for McVay to re-examine his pidgin holing his Fangio-type solution on defense. Fangio’s system has merits, but it was a little disconcerting watching the Chargers give up a buck 50 to Rex Burkhead.
