In all but one game this season, Cooper Kupp racked up at least 90 yards receiving. He had 100-plus yards in 11 games and scored 16 total touchdowns, finishing as the league’s leader in receptions, yards and touchdown catches.

His worst game of the season came against the Cardinals in Week 4 when he caught five passes for 64 yards. The fact that 64 yards was his floor tells you just how dominant he was, putting up big numbers each and every week.


Kliff Kingsbury knows just how difficult he is to contain, even after the Cardinals managed to do so in their first meeting of the season. It’ll take a team effort by Arizona in the wild-card round, and even when Kupp is contained, he’s still going to get his yards and catches.

“Nobody’s slowed him down,” Kingsbury told reporters Wednesday, via the Rams’ official site. “He’s got his numbers every week, regardless of coverages or player or whatever people have been trying to do to stop him. And so that’s a credit to him. He has such a great feel for the game, great understanding of their system, great understanding of how to create space and separation. I just can’t say enough good things about him. So it’s going to be a group effort trying to slow him down, but you know he’s going to get his. You just gotta try to contain it as best as you can.”

After being slowed down by Arizona in Week 4, Kupp bounced back with a big game against the Cardinals 10 weeks later. He caught 13 passes for 123 yards and one touchdown against them on Dec. 13, catching all but two of his targets from Matthew Stafford.

Kupp has proved capable of producing no matter the coverage or cornerback across from him, and there’s no reason to believe he won’t catch another seven passes for 90-plus yards on Monday night against the Cardinals.
