Rampage2K-
sorry but his INT's are killing us
The first one he threw was just dumb....he had another WR wide ass open underneath, but he throws up a prayer into double coverage
the last one could have been a walk off TD and he under throws it by 10 yards
defense has its share of blame too, but it was those picks that were the real difference makers
Stafford did not have a good 2nd half, no question. But look at the pressure he was under. I read where he was pressured on 20 of 37 drop backs. That’s unsustainable for ANY QB.
As I posted elsewhere, there were at least 7 other and bigger reasons for this loss than Stafford. C’mon…
There's no c'mon. Your QB cannot throw 2 picks in a one score game. Even if it was an odd game for him, which it isn't, neither of those picks were bad luck. He is making poor decisions/poor throws and it's costing the team. One pick swung momentum and the other ended the game. Neither were on 4th down or desperation situations.
If either the OL, the play caller, or the D do their damned jobs this game would have been won going away in regulation. And we wouldn’t be having this conversation.
Stafford was NOT the reason Rams lost this game.
Bill Cowher said it himself. Don't make a bad play worse. That's the job of the QB. You're right that the OL was struggling but that does not mean that Stafford should throw it up for grabs. If we're playing the what if game, it's just as easy to say that if Stafford had not forced those passes and lived for another down, even if it meant a sack, the Rams hold the ball that much longer on those two drives and the 49ers a) don't get the last second FB before the half and b) would have ran out of time at the end of the game.
