If McVay wants to call the plays, then up in the booth is where he belongs. You call a much better game from up in the box. You can SEE THE DEFENSE.

HC's won't do that because they like the environment on the sidelines.

My buddy was a HS HC...He left the sidelines and went up top....You can get away with all the commotion and actually think. See the field, see the defense. It's more like playing chess above the board and not at eye level. You can SEE.
