It doesn't imply anything of the sort: "a spoken or written account of connected events" That is a narrative.

It certainly does. The OP is acting like the media will be unfairly judging the Rams but it isn't unfair at all. Often when people bring up narrative they are omitting "false" but mean the same thing.
