This loss was nauseating. I sat at the sports bar and told the VERY annoying Niner fan when he came over and congratulated me when the Rams went up 24-17 that I didn't think the Rams defense could keep them out of the endzone. Even though they had NO time outs and had to start from their own 12. I said it with complete confidence and sincerity. He thought I was crazy. At first.......
Then I told him if the Niners win the OT coin toss that this game was over and that the Niners would win it. Again, he shook his head and didn't believe me, until he did. It sucks that I, an ignorant fan, can call exactly how the game will play out. In fact, when McVay chose to pass the ball on 3rd and one at the end of the second half resulting in a Stafford sack, instead of running it and trying to just pick the first, which allowed the Niners to drive down and score right before half. I told everyone around me that that single play would cost the Rams the win.... everyone thought I was an idiot. Maybe not any more.
